ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc) Company was founded in 1969 and during the years it became one of the leading GIS software producers in the world. Today, the company has offices in more than 75 countries and we can say that it sets the GIS trends.

Since 2000, the T-MAPY Company has been an official ESRI developer (the first one in the Czech Republic) of ArcIMS and ArcInfo products. Our parent company, the T-Kartor Company, is also one of the key strategic partners of ESRI.

In 2001, our company became the most successful dealer of ESRI products in the Czech Republic.

The current ESRI offer is based on ArcGIS family of products.

ArcGIS is a system that builds, maintains and analyses geographic data. ArcGIS includes well-known products such as ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo, ArcGIS extensions, ArcReader, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, etc. The whole line of ArcGIS products is of the same architecture, uniform code, uniform model of extensions, and uniform development environment.

ESRI also offers products that don’s fall into the ArcGIS family. The basic ones include the ArcExplorer data browser (freeware), MapObjects – a tool set well noted by developers, and ArcView 3.x – still a very popular product

ArcView is a very powerful application intended, above all, for GIS end users. It is a complex system to access geographic and table data – it enables their viewing, query, selection, analysis, and, of course, the presentation of your work results.
