Within the scope of GIS work for the Brno Municipal Office that our company has been involved in since autumn of 2005, we are preparing the installation of new internal HW equipment and are working on tools to update the input geographic and tabular data that will be imported into the ArcSDE Oracle Geodatabase. At present time, the following import lines are available:

• Cadastral map and territorial identification data import line
• Geological data file import line
• Trash containers data import line
  
• Import line for data of closed sales in the city real estate price list ma.

These technological lines consist of applications written in Model Builder – one of the ArcGIS Desktop tools.

It is basically a system of preparation tools to update the Geodatabases data sets located on the servers of the Municipal Office. The tools include the file geodatabase, Oracle geodatabase with the ArcSDE upgrade of the sharp – operational server. The system includes the storage space for the input data supplied by external suppliers (Cadastral Office, Brno Geodesie) and for the internal data processed at different departments of the Municipal Office. The system also includes the storage space for the tools and the descriptions of technological procedures by which the Brno Municipal Office employees update the data.

The so-far tuned lines, whose further spread and growth is in plans for the future thematic sets, serve to update the visualization projects data not only for the Municipal Office Intranet, but also for the Internet applications that are programmed and modified for the public use.
