This year’s Meeting was held in Darovansky Dvur, near the city of Plzen. It was the 10th Annual Meeting and we took the opportunity to celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary on this occasion too. The Meeting was thus conceived as a fly-through the company’s history, its individual Annual Meetings, and the retrospection of our products and services.

The Meeting’s attendees understood the spirit in which the Meeting was to be carried out
before the event even started. After entering the Darovansky Dvur grounds, the cars were directed to their respective parking places in a manner typical for airports. Actually, what ever followed reminded an airport. When the attendees were entering the building, they were asked to pass through the metal detector gate and after they “checked in” (they had to submit valid tickets) they could go shopping in the duty free shop.
The
Meeting’s program started at 10 o’clock. The pre-flight instruction was given by the chief flight attendant, Jan Kamenicky, and the news of the previous year were “flown through” by Milan Novotny. The later part of the morning was taken care of by captain Pavel Trhon who introduced company’s “flagship” applications and the latest interesting projects that the company had solved.
After lunch, the program’s “airport traffic” started picking up on speed and one “flight” followed the other. First came the pivotal news on the T-WIST Server and T-MapServer, then we were informed on the UAP issues. Later there was a series of practical samples of successful implementations – Register of Documents at the Decin Municipal Office, WebGIS Prague, GIS at Brno Town Hall, and the UAP study of Plzen Region. In the end, the Meeting’s partners were introduced.
After a small refreshment, the outdoor activities started. Each of us was able to select the type of relaxation that suited him/her best (either golf, a typical activity for these grounds, orienteering race, or rope disciplines).
After dinner, we devoted our time to work issues and discussed topics at workshops and in the surrounding premises. The debates ended with the T-BAND music group performance. The boys showed off their quality this year as well, and the “information dance” was replaced with real dance…
Friday, September 21
Radek Kuttelwasher opened the day with his traditional report on the ESRI news. Jan Langr took over to “fly” through the geographic data being offered to all the attendees present and proved to them that our company offers more than just “From Here to There”. Then the second part of Thursday’s block of successful implementations began (the Chodov Municipal Office Web Presentation, the philosophy and concept of GIS at Prague 4 District). Many customers were certainly interested in Jan Kamenicky’s lecture on CRM (a system supporting customer relation management) and on how this is perceived by the T-Mapy company. The Meeting ended, as we do every year, with the drawing of questionnaire forms for prizes.
