The production of the Basic Maps of the Czech Republic is in our hands! This is not a hoax, this is a fact. We were the only ones who met all the conditions set forth in the Cartographic Information System (CIS) Tender Documentation for the State Geodetic Office. The new CIS solution will enhance the system for digital production and updating of the basic and thematic state administration maps in the database environment (the map scales range from 1 : 10 000 to 1 : 100 000).

The existing production line, based on the MGE project and file storing does not comply with the cartographic products standards of today, will be replaced with our company’s solution. The solution to be delivered will be based on our digital cartography know-how (working procedures, processes, and technologies) supported by the technologies of world-wide suppliers. The concept of the technologies to be used in the CIS technological solution will be primarily based on the technologies by ESRI, a US based company. We will also utilize the high added value of the application software by T-Kartor Sweden AB - CPS^NG, our parent company.

The project has been in full swing since mid-November 2007 and the first maps by T-MAPY will leave the cartographic line located in the town of Sedlcany in 18 months.
